Rockville’s Road to Vision Zero
Ahead of tonight’s meeting, I want to share my questions about Vision Zero, a strategy that focuses on making pedestrian and bicycle safety better while also ensuring drivers are safe.
Pedestrian safety is a growing concern in our neighborhoods. With more people, we need to think about our roads, traffic flow, and public awareness. I encourage residents to reflect on how well our current systems protect pedestrians, including crosswalks, signs, and speed control measures. Thinking about these issues will not only improve safety but also create a friendlier environment for everyone. Community feedback is important as we discuss this topic to develop effective solutions for all road users.
I will keep working with City staff to make our City safer for everyone, no matter how we travel. See the questions and topics below or read the PDF.
